Hybrid Performance & Fitness Training is what I consider to be my signature training style. HPFT combines strength and power workouts, cardio cross-training, intervals and high-intensity workouts to help you shed unwanted body weight, trim excess body fat – all while getting in the best shape possible.

If your are like most people, you want the fastest, most efficient way to get in shape and burn fat, and Hybrid Performance & Fitness Training delivers. Being able to work out for only a short period of time, while still building muscle and burning sounds like a no brainer. So when you are pressed for time but want to stay lean and healthy, HPFT is the ideal way to get the job done quickly and effectively.

HPFT is designed to burn more calories during your workout and maximize calories burned after your workout, while improving your all-around and functional fitness.

Here is an example of one my HPFT workouts. Perform each of the five exercises for 1 minute without resting. Rest for 1 minute at the end of the round. Perform 2 to 4 more rounds depending on your level of fitness. Perform this workout 2-3 times a week.

Hybrid Performance & Fitness is NOT one specific workout routine or program, but instead can encompass several different metabolic conditioning methods, which include can  HIIT, circuit training, Tabata and compound training to name just a few.

Why Should Hybrid Performance & Fitness Training Be A Part of Your Health & Fitness Lifestyle?

Studies show metabolic conditioning can boost aerobic fitness as much as longer cardio sessions, and improve muscular endurance and increase metabolism more than cardio can by itself.

HPFT helps to burn more fat as compared to steady-state exercise. What does this mean? You achieve these superior results in less time! In addition, not only does HPFT optimize fat burning during the exercise session, it actually keeps your metabolism elevated long after you’ve stopped. This is due to what is called EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), sometimes called the “after-burn”.

Next, HPFT is able to keep your heart rate elevated so that you continue burning a maximal number of calories as you lift. This is an excellent way for you to tone your muscles and strip away fat!

In terms of health benefits other than weight loss and improved oxygen consumption, HPFT can provide immense cardiovascular health benefits. Perhaps the most important thing in this regard is lowering resting heart rate and reducing blood pressure.

HPFT can also be beneficial for reducing blood sugar levels. Not only does it improve metabolism but also optimizing insulin resistance.

Last, but certainly not least, HPFT also can increase the amount of muscle mass used in certain exercises. The number of calories burned is directly related to how much muscle is stimulated during training: more muscle equates to a greater caloric expenditure.

Right after your first workout, you will see and feel the effects of the Hybrid Performance & Fitness Training program.

It is designed so that over time you will see a noticeable difference in your not only in over-all fitness and physique, but also in your performance “on and off the mat.”
